What data, what for, who sees it and how long we keep it. Straight answers.

Data
Only what you give us. Through the form: name, phone, email (if you add it), the address of the property and your message. By phone: your number and what you tell us. On WhatsApp: number, profile name, messages and photos.
Purpose
Just one: dealing with your request and getting you a quote from a local renovation company. We do not send marketing. If we ever did, we would ask for separate, optional consent.
Legal basis
Your own request. You ask for a quote and, to give you one, we need to process your data before any contract exists. That is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR.
Recipients
Your data does not stay with RT alone. It goes to:
- the area manager for Tarragona, who handles your request and calls you;
- the renovation company that quotes for you: we pass on your name, contact details, address and description of the job so they can visit and price it; if you hire them, from then on they are responsible for your data for that job;
- technical providers working on our behalf: website hosting, CRM and database, email and messaging.
Also the authorities, where a law requires it.
Addresses
The address field suggests streets as you type. To do that, the text in that field, and nothing else, goes from our server to the Esri geocoder (Environmental Systems Research Institute, Inc., Redlands, California, USA), hence the "Powered by Esri" credit under the suggestions. If Esri fails, the lookup goes to Photon (komoot GmbH, Germany), based on OpenStreetMap.
Neither receives your IP address or the rest of the form. Lookups may stay cached for up to 7 days, anonymously. No cookies.
Esri is in the United States but certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, covered by the European Commission's adequacy decision of 10 July 2023 (Art. 45 GDPR). The legal basis is the same: your request.
Retention
- While your request is open.
- No job goes ahead: up to 2 years from the last contact, then deleted.
- Job goes ahead: as long as legal obligations require (tax, consumer, liability).
Your rights
Access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability. Email [email protected]. We reply within one month at most. If it is unclear the request comes from you, we will ask you to prove it.
Complaints
If you think we got it wrong, you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD): aepd.es.
